Job Title: Medical Assistant II

Join The University of Iowa Community Clinics as a Medical Assistant II and be part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. As a Medical Assistant II, you will work closely with our healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role:

This is a 90% (36 hours per week) regular salaried position located in Riverside, IA. The successful candidate will work in our River Crossing Clinic, supporting our Family Medicine Clinics and other patient specialties/clinic locations.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical, patient care, and related clerical functions in an ambulatory setting.
  • Support our Family Medicine Clinic under the direct supervision of a licensed independent practitioner, RN, or other licensed designee.
  • Collaborate with healthcare systems, providers, and communities to deliver quality care.
  • Develop relationships with patients and monitor patient care history to deliver personalized care.
Requirements:
  • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant or completion of a recognized one-year Medical Assistant Program.
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork and autonomy in all aspects of the role.
  • Previous EPIC experience and minimum 6 months ambulatory experience are highly desirable.
