Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to join our team at the University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center Downtown. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed healthcare professionals with patient care and administrative tasks
  • Conduct patient interviews and take medical histories
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures
  • Administer medications and vaccinations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with patients and families
Requirements
  • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant or completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
