Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our staff to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients of the Lower Elwha Clinic, including triage, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic injuries and illnesses.
  • Work closely with staff physicians to ensure seamless patient care and consultation when clinically indicated.
  • Order and interpret lab and x-ray data, and initiate referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Document all patient encounters immediately via Electronic Health Record and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Participate in team drills, codes, and quality improvement activities to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
  • Adhere to all approved policies and procedures of the clinic and the tribal organization.
Requirements
  • Current PA-C or ARNP licensure in Washington State.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification, or obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge and competence in family medicine/primary care, minor orthopedics, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Ability to work successfully with other healthcare professionals, patients, and community.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and work collaboratively with others.
  • Knowledge of cultural sensitivity issues and ability to work with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to handle conflict and crisis in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional manner and appearance in all work activities.
  • Documentation of, and maintenance of CME requirements.
  • Ability to pass Washington State Patrol background check, drug screen, and maintain up-to-date vaccinations, including COVID-19.
