Position Overview: Reporting to the Compliance Officer (Vice President of Operations), the Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the organization's policies, procedures, and operations align with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. This role is crucial in supporting team members to deliver high-quality, effective, and person-centered case management services. The Compliance Manager will facilitate the organization’s compliance with regulations and maintain audit readiness through regular internal audits. Additionally, this position will involve investigating compliance issues identified through the incident reporting system and staying updated on regulatory changes to ensure appropriate training requirements are met. The Compliance Manager will also lead the Compliance Team.

Expectations for Team Members: All team members at SCI are expected to uphold the organization's mission, adhere to core values, and comply with policies and procedures. This includes following HIPAA regulations, collaborating with colleagues and leadership, participating in meetings and training, and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal reviews and monitoring to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Provide corrective action recommendations and track implementation progress.
  • Assist in preparing for internal and external compliance audits.
  • Coordinate responses to regulatory findings and assist in documentation submissions.
  • Communicate compliance concerns and industry standards as part of ongoing training.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of compliance procedures and metrics.
  • Prepare internal and external compliance reports.
  • Oversee investigations into alleged compliance violations.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and laws.
  • Assist in creating an effective compliance training program.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily activities of the compliance team.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of team members.
  • Supervise task prioritization and completion within the compliance team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field.

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a regulated environment (e.g., healthcare, child welfare).
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in regulatory compliance investigations and audits is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and related technologies.
