Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Communications Strategist to join our team at Faith in Public Life. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic communicator with expertise in developing and executing cross-channel communication strategies to support education and advocacy campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing successful communications strategies, leveraging resources creatively, and driving public engagement. They will be responsible for cultivating relationships with media outlets, pitching stories, and securing media coverage to elevate FPL's campaigns.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the execution of cross-channel communication strategies for education and advocacy campaigns.
  • Craft clear, persuasive, and impactful messaging for public campaigns to protect and expand comprehensive reproductive health & equity and to prevent & combat political violence.
  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets, pitch stories, and secure media coverage to elevate FPL's campaigns.
  • Work closely with campaign teams, program staff, and external partners to ensure consistent and coherent messaging across platforms and activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a communications or public relations role, ideally within an advocacy or nonprofit organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement successful communications strategies for education and advocacy campaigns.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a generous and comprehensive benefits package including full medical, dental, and vision premium coverage, life insurance, and an FSA/DCA savings plan.
