The Role:

">Job Summary:
American Humane seeks an experienced Chief Technology Strategist to oversee its daily IT operations. As a key member of our team, you will direct the development, implementation, and use of technology throughout the organization. Collaborating with the Chief Technology Officer, you will work closely with staff to understand user and departmental needs.

Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and deploy a strategic enterprise cybersecurity program
• Manage organizational risks and recommend practical solutions
• Direct IT systems development and enhancement
• Oversee data and cybersecurity protection
• Provide technical guidance on application development, deployment, and maintenance
• Assist staff with IT-related support problems
• Evaluate and recommend IT services and resources
• Manage vendor relationships and communicate with vendors to resolve IT support issues

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience working in Information Technology with management responsibility overseeing at least two of the following IT functions: Network Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Cloud computing, Software Development, or IT Operations
• Experience managing direct report(s) in an IT function is strongly desired

Benefits:
American Humane offers a competitive salary range of $130,000 - $140,000 annually, depending on experience. This is a hybrid role based in NW Washington DC with regular telework schedule.

Work Environment:
This position requires sitting for extended periods, looking at and working from a computer screen for long periods, and occasional lifting or moving equipment up to 25 lbs. You may be required to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
