Job Title: Senior Data Analyst - Monetization Expert

Our client is a personal finance company that helps users manage their finances by offering tools for tracking spending, canceling unwanted subscriptions, and lowering bills. The platform provides insights into financial habits and offers services aimed at saving time and money, empowering individuals to make informed decisions, improve their financial health, and achieve long-term financial goals.

The company's mission is to help people live their best financial lives by simplifying money management. They are currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst with expertise in monetization and/or user onboarding analytics to join a growing Data Analytics team.

This role is based out of Washington, D.C. but is fully remote. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2C technology, particularly in user onboarding, user journey flows, or monetization analytics.

The Senior Data Analyst will independently collaborate with teams across the platform product group to analyze the performance of onboarding and monetization funnels, using data to drive growth strategies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading collaboration between the Data team and Platform product group, ensuring alignment of goals and plans.
  • Analyzing new user journeys and monetization data to identify trends and anomalies, providing actionable insights for optimizing product offerings and customer experiences.
  • Collaborating with Analytics Engineering for accurate data availability and with Data Science for predictive work.
  • Handling both strategic data questions and hands-on building of processes and systems for analysis.
  • Maintaining reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings clearly to all levels of stakeholders.
  • Enhancing the experimentation culture by guiding experiment design and analysis, improving experimentation processes across the company.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, progressively handling more complex projects and senior roles.
  • Strong background in B2C technology, particularly in user onboarding, user journey flows, or monetization analytics.
  • Previous experience working in a startup or small-scale environment.
  • Solid understanding of experimental design and statistics for A/B test analysis.
  • Advanced SQL skills for quick analysis and data model creation.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.

Nice-to-haves include experience with BigQuery/GCP, Fivetran, and Amplitude, as well as proficiency in Python and R for statistical analysis.
