Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Grant Administrator to join our team at Boston University. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting faculty in the preparation and submission of grant applications, as well as maintaining accurate records of departmental research support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist faculty in the preparation and submission of grant applications, including budget development and proposal writing.
  • Maintain accurate records of departmental research support, including tracking of pending and current grants.
  • Monitor pre-award and post-award activities of funded projects, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Administrative Director of the Department of Surgery, Vice Chair of Research, and Executive Director for Surgical Translational Research to ensure seamless communication and coordination of research activities.
  • Process and track research-related payables and receivables, ensuring timely and accurate payment and reimbursement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of related experience in grant administration, research coordination, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in grant management software a plus.
