Job Overview

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Accounting Intern. The position requires the person to:

  • Prepare financial reports for regulatory agencies.
  • Develop a deep understanding of insurance accounting principles.
  • Assist in designing and implementing automated accounting systems from manual operations.
  • Analyze and utilize computer-stored data for problem-solving.
  • Provide management with actionable reports for informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • Students should be currently enrolled and entering their junior or senior year in college.
  • Students must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the spring semester.
  • Above-average communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Organize and interpret data.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Detail-oriented.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $16.00. Returning interns may qualify for a higher pay rate.
