Accountant Job Description

Mercury Broadband is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team in Mission, KS or Topeka, KS. As an Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting our accounting department and performing various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the accounting department, including completing related documentation and reporting functions.
  • Identify and process fixed assets, ensuring accurate reporting of depreciation and reconciling the fixed asset sub ledger to the ledger.
  • Perform reconciliations to the ledger for assigned accounts and complete assigned accounting projects.
  • Process transactions and update ledgers, verifying accuracy of documentation and balances.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile bank accounts, and prepare monthly reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping programs and related software, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, computational, and mathematical abilities, with a high level of integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
