The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) division for Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) is committed to collaborating closely with our business leadership to develop comprehensive financial and strategic plans for grocery, omni-channel, and innovative physical store formats at Amazon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with FP&A teams from Whole Foods Market, Fresh, and Go to enhance and automate financial reporting and planning processes.
  • Develop models to monitor current financial performance and project future periods.
  • Lead strategic initiatives across WW Grocery businesses, including Whole Foods Market, Fresh, and Go.
  • Support WW Amazon Stores Finance and Corporate FP&A in communicating WW Grocery Stores plans to Amazon's executive leadership.
  • Engage cross-functionally with finance teams and senior leadership on ad-hoc analyses and in-depth evaluations.
  • Present financial and business outcomes, including variance analyses, to senior leaders.
  • Prioritize data integrity by identifying and resolving complex issues, improving controls to mitigate financial risks, and promoting frugality.
  • Create an environment that encourages the establishment of ambitious goals, business plans, and financial strategies, assisting the business in achieving these objectives.
  • Simplify and automate planning tools and processes across WW Grocery Stores.
  • Continue to develop the team's vision and build the team through hiring and mentoring Finance team members.
  • Foster a positive team culture and nurture top talent.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) with 5+ years of finance experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of finance experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA.
  • Proficiency in SQL/ETL.
  • 6+ years of experience in identifying and addressing incomplete or inaccurate data, including root cause analysis and implementation of escalation plans.
  • Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • 6+ years of experience in solving complex business challenges through accurate and timely financial models, analyses, and recommendations that have demonstrable impacts on business outcomes.
  • Experience in delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

The base pay for this position ranges based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
