Training Scheduling Administrator

Overview

The Training Scheduling Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the training bidding system for all flight personnel, including Crewmembers, Instructors, and contract Flight Attendants. This position involves analyzing intricate training schedule challenges and offering strategic recommendations for effective resolution.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and generates scenarios based on awards utilizing automated training bidding systems.
  • Creates and oversees monthly training courses and events through automated bid awards.
  • Conducts post-training bidding reports to assess Crewmember training requirements and availability.
  • Implements a comprehensive and cost-efficient training schedule in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Evaluates and resolves complex scheduling issues related to training, ensuring adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), labor agreements, and company policies.
  • Monitors training progress to guarantee that all crewmembers are assigned appropriate training events as per the Flight Operations Training Manual.
  • Utilizes scheduling technology to address planning and scheduling challenges effectively.
  • Collaborates with Fleet Managers and the Director of Training Center Operations to develop scheduling forecasts.
  • Assesses monthly staffing needs for Training Instructors and Check Airmen, scheduling Instructors based on qualifications for various training devices.
  • Coordinates with Crew Scheduling and Flight Operations leadership to communicate training progress and ensure crewmembers meet flight assignment qualifications.
  • Updates scheduling data daily in the Airline Information Management System (AIMS) to reflect changing conditions and training completion rates.
  • Manages crewmember training notifications through AIMS.
  • Generates training reports for crewmembers while monitoring ground and simulator training.
  • Ensures compliance with days off requirements and prevents rest violations for crewmembers and instructors.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of Training Center Operations.


Qualifications

  • At least four (4) years of experience in Airline Scheduling or a related field.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience with crew management software applications; familiarity with Airline Information Management System (AIMS) is advantageous.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Atlas/Southern Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) is essential.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Strong communication and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to thrive in a high-stress environment.
  • Effective in a collaborative team-based setting.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and special projects simultaneously.

  • Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends.

  • Exhibits strong interpersonal, analytical, and administrative skills.

Salary Range: $51,500 - $69,000

Financial offers within this range will be determined based on various factors, including location, relevant experience, and skillset.
