About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Lead/Supervisor to join our team at SCA Health. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality sterilization of instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Create and manage schedules to ensure adequate coverage for each day.
  • Develop and implement sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and maintenance protocols for instruments and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the OR Charge Nurse and OR teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory standards for universal precautions, sterilization methodologies, and biological monitoring.
  • Perform weekly inventory of processing supplies and notify management of order needs.
  • Assist teammates with daily preparation for current and future facility schedules.
  • Participate in room turnover and assist with the preparation of the operating room/procedure room for surgery/procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Certification in Sterile Processing highly preferred.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • 4 Years of Sterile Processing Experience required.
  • 1-2 years as Lead Technician/Supervisor preferred.
  • Knowledge of typical OR equipment required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule and maintain regular attendance.
