Medical Office RN Vascular Surgery Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Vascular Surgery team at Nuvance Health. As a Medical Office RN Vascular Surgery Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians and physician assistants in delivering high-quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, preparing materials, supplies, equipment, and the patient to assist the physician or physician assistant with the patient's medical exam.
- Collect, prepare, and analyze patient specimens as directed by the physician or physician assistant.
- Perform sterile in-office surgical procedures, including time outs, surgical consents, pre and post documentation, and discharge instructions.
- Monitor medication inventory and expiration dates, mixing medication for IV anesthesia as needed.
- Triage all clinical calls, including medication renewals, and assist in rooming patients, wrapping wounds, and assessing patients.
- Maintain IAC standards of care and track complications in the accreditation log.
- Communicate with patients by telephone to provide requested follow-up, advise them of test results, or relay a physician's instructions.
- Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practice's and WCMG missions through a process of total quality improvement.
- Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Supports MD's and PA's evaluation and care of patients.
- Adheres to sterile technique for patient safety and procedural policies for infection control.
- Provides supportive care to patients by being an expert in Vascular Care.
- Associates Degree preferred.
- Previous medical office experience preferred.
- Leadership skills.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills.
