Sterile Processing Team Leader

Join Nuvance Health as a Sterile Processing Team Leader and take on a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care. As a key member of the Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the evening operation, supervising employees, and maintaining the highest levels of sterilization and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the evening operation of the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring seamless execution of procedures and protocols.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Sterile Processing Technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional results.
  • Collaborate with department managers to develop and implement process improvements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in Sterile Processing or a related field.
  • Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSP) certification required.
Working Conditions:

This role requires significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. The working environment is fast-paced, with exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste. Physical effort is very heavy, with the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force.
