ROLE OVERVIEW


The Senior Associate will play a pivotal role in executing the communications strategy for Aspen FSP by crafting and implementing cohesive, integrated content across various platforms, including the website, email communications, and social media channels.

In this capacity, the Senior Associate will assist in developing and maintaining the brand voice of Aspen FSP, effectively communicating its impact to key stakeholders and audiences.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications, the salary range is competitive. The role requires in-office collaboration a minimum of two times a week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Content Management (40%)
    Under the strategic guidance of the Associate Director, oversee all deadlines and workflows for the Aspen FSP editorial calendar.
    Collaborate with the Associate Director to consider overarching messaging and framing for Aspen FSP content.
    Draft, edit, build, and/or schedule content for the website.
    Manage workflows for extensive content such as research briefs.
    Create and manage promotional and distribution plans for key content products and long-term campaigns.
  • Email Communications (30%)
    With strategic direction from the Associate Director, manage all deadlines and workflows for the Aspen FSP email calendar.
    Draft and/or edit copy for newsletters, event communications, and other assigned emails.
    Build and schedule email campaigns.
    In collaboration with the Associate Director, test and optimize email performance.
  • Social Media Management (15%)
    With strategic direction from the Associate Director, manage all deadlines and workflows for the Aspen FSP social media calendar.
    Draft and/or edit copy for social media posts (LinkedIn and X).
    Build and schedule social media content.
    In coordination with the Associate Director, test and optimize social media engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Responsibilities (15%)
    In collaboration with the Communications & Events team, regularly review, capture, and analyze data to inform FSP's marketing strategy.
    Maintain professional communication with FSP colleagues regarding all marketing initiatives.
    Coordinate with external vendors on project execution.
    Research and implement new tools or processes as directed.
    In partnership with the Associate Director, liaise with Aspen's central communications team.
    Support the Associate Director and relevant vendors with public relations strategy and outreach.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of relevant experience in communication, marketing, journalism, and/or editorial roles.
  • BA degree in a relevant field (such as communications, marketing, or journalism); or equivalent on-the-job training and experience.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills.
  • Strong writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven experience producing comprehensive first drafts of written materials.
  • Emerging ability to identify the interests and needs of key audiences.
  • Emerging ability to analyze and interpret marketing data.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.
  • Consistently meets deadlines.
  • Some knowledge of or interest in issues related to financial security is advantageous.
