Position Summary:

The role involves overseeing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, conducting daily audits, and generating comprehensive reports. The individual will maintain accounting systems that guarantee accurate recording of invoices and prompt collection of payments from various sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and enter all invoices into the resort's accounting system.
  • Process vendor payments according to established schedules.
  • Reconcile vendor statements with the payables system.
  • Organize and archive all open and settled invoices appropriately.
  • Address and resolve inquiries from staff and vendors related to accounts payable.
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail.
  • Investigate and rectify any outstanding balances on City Ledger accounts.
  • Ensure timely billing for all groups, members, and wholesale accounts.
  • Collect outstanding receivables through phone or mail communication.
  • Verify Wedding Deposits to confirm all are prepaid.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of departmental policies, standards, and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounts receivable and payable, ideally within the hospitality or restaurant sector.
  • Familiarity with both manual and automated accounting systems, preferably in a hospitality context.
  • Strong administrative capabilities, with a proven track record of assisting colleagues with inquiries and issues.
  • Highly organized with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
