Controller and Financial Operations

Hayes Locums seeks a highly skilled and experienced Controller to lead our financial operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing daily cash forecasting, overseeing operational accounting, and coordinating year-end external audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy.
  • Operational Accounting: Manage and review daily cash forecasting, physician payrolls, billings, collections, and payments.
  • Year-End Audits: Coordinate and oversee year-end external audits.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Partner with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare and facilitate presentations to senior leadership and ownership.

Requirements:

  • CPA with strong knowledge of current GAAP.
  • Prior experience as a Controller preferably in a staffing company.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (master's in accounting/MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience in general accounting, financial reporting, and/or audit roles with experience in a $200M+ company.
  • Excellent supervisory skills and experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/CRM software (NetSuite and/or Salesforce a plus).
