Financial Operations Graduate Assistant

Position Overview

The University of the Incarnate Word is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Operations Graduate Assistant to support the Comptroller's Office. This is a student position open to current UIW graduate students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist accountants with tax, investments, accounting, and other duties as assigned.
  • Support with tax workpapers/returns, reconciliations, and creating/updating spreadsheets.
  • Perform general office duties, including copying, filing, and communicating with visitors.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Operations.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Excel (pivot tables and vlookup) and Word.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Consistent, dependable, and accurate in carrying out responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

Working Conditions

  • Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm, flexible schedule.
  • Up to 20 hours a week depending on school schedule.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift 10-20 lbs to move boxes to storage and/or shred bin.
