Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Granville Health System. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and engineering repairs to hospital-owned buildings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections of hospital equipment and buildings to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and medical gas systems.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete tasks, and operate equipment such as generators and boilers.
  • Perform light carpentry, painting, plastering, tile and carpet laying, masonry work, and roofing repairs as needed.
  • Develop and implement executive preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Take calls on a rotating basis during non-working hours to respond to urgent maintenance needs.
Requirements
  • High school graduate with general maintenance and plant operation abilities.
  • Two years of commercial and industrial experience, with a strong understanding of hospital equipment and building maintenance techniques.
