Job Description

Fast Lane Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Controls Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting control systems, instrumentation, and electrical equipment in our industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting diagrams and technical documentation to troubleshoot and maintain control systems and instrumentation.
  • Maintaining backup and revision documentation for control systems and instrumentation.
  • Managing SCADA type devices in an industrial environment.
  • Installing, configuring, calibrating, and maintaining control, measurement, and indicating instrumentation.
  • Configuring and programming Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC).
  • Organizing and ordering PLC control components to maintain plant process control systems.
  • Working with corporate IT staff as required for miscellaneous network and computer activities.
  • Preparing technical reports for documenting issues and changes to equipment.
  • Managing projects for implementing changes and improvements.
  • Being on call to support production needs.
  • Installing and terminating electrical, pneumatic, and fluid connections.
  • Inspecting and testing the operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults.
  • Removing, repairing, adjusting, and replacing components.
  • Calibrating components and systems.
  • Assisting engineering in plant design, modification, and hazard analysis.
  • Maintaining various computer-based control systems.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance programs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least 2 years of related experience required.
  • Proven experience in PLC logic and programming with Allen Bradley PLC's and other types of controllers.
  • Electrical experience.
  • Ability to create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation, and testing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hectic, and demanding environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
