Job OverviewOur company, TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT CORP, is seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Agent to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a dedicated and passionate team.

As a Purchasing Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of projects by preparing Purchase Orders based on project requirements. You will also be responsible for maintaining PO status by excel, negotiating payment terms and pricing, and sourcing new suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Purchase Orders based on project requirements.
  • Maintain PO status by excel to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Negotiate payment terms and pricing.
  • Souce new suppliers.
  • Work with engineers to address revisions to drawings.

Requirements
  • Being able to multi-task, handling up to 30 projects at a time.
  • Knowledge of ERP system, M1.
  • Establish new processes.
  • Preferred experience working in a Machine / Fabrication shop.
  • Knowledge of steel, aluminum coatings, and finishing.
  • Able to schedule for in-house machine shop and fabrication.
  • Update supplier lists.
  • Preparing spare parts orders and being able to pull parts from stock room.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work without direction.
  • Answering phone when required.
