Creative Content Writer

We are seeking a highly skilled Creative Content Writer to join our team at the Virginia Economic Development Partnership. As a key member of our content marketing team, you will be responsible for crafting compelling consumer-facing content that aligns with our brand tone and voice, resonates with our audience, and drives engagement and action.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing through a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) lens, with experience in creating high-quality, engaging written content for various platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce well-written, targeted copy that drives organic traffic and conversions through engaging and optimized content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with our brand goals and objectives
- Write high-quality, engaging written content for our blog, website, and email campaigns, focusing on brand storytelling and conversion optimization
- Perform keyword research and apply SEO best practices to enhance content visibility and rankings
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and analysts to ensure consistent messaging across all channels
- Develop and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely content delivery while juggling various priorities and deadlines
- Use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to track, analyze, and report on content performance, focusing on improving key performance indicators such as organic traffic, content engagement, and conversions
Requirements:
- At least two years of professional copywriting experience with a focus on SEO
- Experience with content management systems and project management tools like Asana
- Strong research skills to ensure content accuracy and authority
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and editorial skills with ability to write for different platforms and audiences
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
