Position Title: Field Superintendent

Employment Status: Non-exempt

Reports To: Project Manager

Position Overview: The Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing on-site operations for all stages of a construction project. This includes managing personnel as necessary, coordinating subcontractors, materials, and equipment, ensuring adherence to specifications, and maintaining project timelines and budgets. The Field Superintendent will also be accountable for scheduling, inspections, quality assurance, and safety on the job site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager, clients, and teams to ensure clarity regarding project scopes.
  • Supervise Ameritech personnel as required (Lead Technicians, Technicians, Assistants, etc.).
  • Coordinate subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Engage with clients and store staff to discuss project details.
  • Identify and address issues outside the project scope with clients effectively.
  • Understand and implement job site protocols specific to each project.
  • Provide comprehensive daily and weekly reports to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all necessary materials to maintain project schedules.
  • Schedule teams to align with client timelines.
  • Ensure all team members are aware of quality standards and company policies, promoting high-quality workmanship.
  • Foster positive relationships with employees, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Promote a harmonious work environment and manage conflicts proactively.
  • Report team performance to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in challenging situations.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adequate rest for self and crew to safely complete projects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Identify and address job hazards promptly.
  • Facilitate the procurement of necessary materials.
  • May conduct surveys and estimate project costs.
  • Perform tasks with minimal supervision.
Required Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge and experience in General Contracting
• Familiarity with various trades
• Proven ability to utilize hand tools
• Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Ability to establish and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Proven problem-solving skills for both clients and the company.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to achieve goals.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects within budget and on schedule.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • High integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized
• Supervisory experience
• Five to ten years of experience in construction
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Willingness to travel extensively.
