Position Title: Field Superintendent

Employment Status: Non-exempt

Reports To: Project Manager

Position Overview: The Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing on-site activities for all stages of a construction project. This includes managing staff as necessary, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring that materials and equipment are available. The role demands strict adherence to specifications while ensuring that the project remains on schedule and within financial constraints. The Field Superintendent will also be accountable for scheduling, inspections, quality assurance, and maintaining safety standards on the job site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager, clients, and teams to ensure a clear understanding of project scopes.
  • Supervise Ameritech employees as required (Lead Technicians, Technicians, Helpers, etc.).
  • Coordinate subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Engage with clients and store personnel to discuss project progress.
  • Identify and address issues that arise outside the defined scope with clients.
  • Understand specific job site protocols related to each project.
  • Provide comprehensive written reports to the Project Manager on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all necessary materials to the site to maintain project timelines.
  • Schedule crews effectively to meet client deadlines.
  • Ensure all team members are aware of quality standards and company policies, maintaining high workmanship quality.
  • Foster positive relationships with employees, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Promote a harmonious work environment and manage conflicts effectively.
  • Report team performance to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in challenging situations.
  • Uphold the company’s image through professionalism, tact, and sensitivity.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adequate rest for self and crew to safely complete projects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Identify and address job hazards promptly.
  • Assist in procuring necessary materials.
  • May conduct surveys and estimate project requirements.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Supervisory experience
• Five to ten years of experience in construction
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Dependable with a flexible schedule, including availability for travel
• Willingness to travel extensively as required
