Position Overview

The Department of Criminal Justice Administration at OPT FOR HEALTHY LIVING is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about education and dedicated to fostering a diverse learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice Administration and related fields.
  • Engage in scholarly research and contribute to the academic community.
  • Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.
  • Mentor students from various backgrounds and support their academic growth.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • PhD in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related discipline. ABD candidates are encouraged to apply, with the expectation of degree completion prior to appointment.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • A record of effective teaching and potential for scholarly research and publication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in Criminal Justice Administration or Criminology.
  • Ability to teach a variety of courses within the Criminal Justice Administration curriculum.
  • Experience in legal, policy, or community engagement.
  • Potential for teaching online and hybrid courses.
  • Interest in developing new courses in the field.
  • Experience mentoring a diverse student population.
