The Construction Loan Administrator is tasked with the critical role of evaluating construction loan documentation to ensure compliance with credit policy standards aimed at risk mitigation. This position is essential for safeguarding the interests of the Bank through meticulous documentation practices, ensuring that all sanctioned terms and conditions are executed accurately throughout the lifecycle of the construction loan and its associated disbursements.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and monitor necessary due diligence items as required.
- Coordinate document and funding requests, ensuring precision in all details.
- Act as the primary liaison among Relationship Managers, credit analysts, customers, inspectors, and title company representatives during the loan closure and throughout all construction phases until loan maturity or payoff.
- Analyze land surveys, environmental assessments, project evaluations, and building inspection reports to confirm that all construction disbursements are funded according to established guidelines.
- Maintain comprehensive loan and disbursement files with adequate documentation for third-party audits.
- Assess proposed construction budgets to ensure all relevant project costs and funding sources are identified.
- Review and reconcile construction draw requests, recommending approval for funding and securing all necessary authorizations.
- Prepare monthly construction draw requests and engage with loan customers through various communication channels.
- Adhere to internal controls and compliance regulations in all job functions.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures.
- May involve coaching, mentoring, or training others as a subject matter expert.
High school diploma or GED is mandatory, with a preference for candidates possessing 5 years of experience in commercial real estate, construction loan administration, or related fields, including project management. Experience in title and escrow processes is highly desirable.
Advanced understanding of title, escrow, survey, and loan documentation is essential, along with extensive knowledge of operational systems, procedures, and construction guidelines supported by the Bank's Commercial Real Estate Services Department.
Strong organizational and project management skills are required, alongside proficiency in software applications such as Precision and AccuDraw, as well as Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization are crucial for success in this role.
