YU & Associates, a leading engineering firm, is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Project Manager to oversee transportation engineering projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution and delivery of projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Manage and supervise transportation engineering projects, including highway design, traffic engineering, roadway improvements, transportation planning, and airport design.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and quality reviews in the areas of highway design, protection of traffic, transportation planning, and/or any combination thereof.
  • Project Staffing: Report on project staffing needs, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession of project staff.
  • Project Progress: Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Project Budgeting: Prepare project budgets, schedules, and specifications for labor and materials.
  • Project Meetings: Conduct regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Project Deliverables: Prepare and review project deliverables, including reports, design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Project Finance: Manage project budgets and finances, including tracking expenses, approving invoices, and ensuring cost control measures are in place.
  • Staff Development: Support and participate in the development and mentorship of staff.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in transportation engineering.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 10+ years minimum transportation design experience. Highway/roadway design experience a plus.
  • Design Build Experience: Design Build project experience a plus.
  • Software Skills: Proficient with CAD/Design Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3d, Inroads/OpenRoads) and able to assist others as needed.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff.
  • Client Relationship Development: Good client relationship development skills.
