Position Summary: We are currently seeking a mid-level Sustainability Project Coordinator to join our environmental/hazardous materials team. This role involves a combination of office and fieldwork, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations while supporting our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct investigations and sampling of hazardous materials, adhering to established protocols.
- Monitor projects during hazardous material abatement processes.
- Develop and review remediation plans and specifications, with the ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
- Evaluate laboratory results and delineate areas of concern related to hazardous materials.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing comprehensive survey reports and construction documents.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
- Manage project schedules and budgets while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Strong writing and communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous materials.
Working Conditions: This position requires the ability to work both in an office setting and in the field, including quick mobilization for fieldwork when necessary. Candidates must be able to wear personal protective equipment in hazardous environments.
