YU & Associates Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Engineer to lead our team in delivering high-quality highway and roadway design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of roadway engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts.
  • Design and Development: Design roadway horizontal and vertical geometry, and develop Maintenance of Traffic (MOT / MPT) plans and specifications.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects and tasks, and review the work of engineers and technicians.
  • Technical Collaboration: Assist project managers with technical and management collaboration, and collaborate on project progress and status reports, schedule, and budget.
  • Deliverables and Reporting: Track the progress of deliverables, client reviews, technical input, and comment resolution, and prepare administrative, technical, or statistical reports on traffic-operation matters.
  • Staff Development: Support and participate in the development and mentorship of staff.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, with emphasis in transportation.
  • Professional Certification: Professional Engineer License in New York and/or New Jersey, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of transportation design experience, with highway/roadway design experience a plus.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail and accuracy, proficiency with CAD/Design Software, and ability to travel to job sites.
