Job Summary

Pine Street Inn is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to fill the role of Overnight Shelter Access Specialist at our Men's Inn location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, staff, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Operate an electronic entry monitoring system and ID scanning technology to maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with on-site security services and other Pine Street programs to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Assist guests in accessing services such as food, clothing, medical care, and referral needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources to provide guests with transitional and housing referrals.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in the Human Services field.
  • Administering Narcan and CPR certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of addiction, recovery, and mental illness, as well as area resources.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations.

Physical Abilities/Skills:

  • Ability to use computer, calculator, fax, copier machine, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to access different building locations and program sites.
  • Requires stooping, bending, and stretching, as well as lifting guests at times.

Working Conditions:

  • Work schedule: 40 hours, Wednesday-Sunday, 10:45 PM-7:15 AM.
  • Pays $22.40 per hour, with an additional $2.00/hour for hours worked between 10:45 PM-7:15 AM.
