Position Overview:
Solutions3 LLC is on the lookout for a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to evaluate, design, and construct agile, DevOps-focused, cloud-based architectures and environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, consistency, and ongoing reliability of mission-critical systems.

This opportunity is ideal for a professional who is committed to moving away from repetitive manual processes in favor of automated workflows, leveraging mature automated tools for system deployment with precision.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Chief Cloud Engineer to create cutting-edge, cloud-centric automation and orchestration frameworks that deliver robust, self-validating cybersecurity solutions for a significant U.S. Government client.
  • Assist in defining and articulating a cohesive technical and architectural vision.
  • Lead Agile Scrum teams in the design and execution of sophisticated, cloud-based autonomous cybersecurity solutions.
  • Operate with considerable autonomy in decision-making and mentor team members in both technical and operational skills.
  • Engage directly with clients, stakeholders, and end-users to discuss capability architectures, requirements, use cases, and stories to derive and refine updates and specifications.
  • Provide innovative, adaptable, and integrated solutions to address evolving business needs.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of requirements-driven automation architecture.

Essential Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • An active Secret clearance is mandatory, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Capability to secure DHS Suitability.
  • Proven ability to lead effectively, whether in a team setting or as an individual contributor.
  • Experience as a Scrum Master, Tech Lead, or Product Owner.
  • Proficient in communicating with senior leadership, including Customer, VP, or Director levels.
  • Skilled in influencing stakeholder direction through thorough analysis and identification of relevant facts.
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • A minimum of 8 years of directly relevant engineering experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in complex autonomous package builds, API-driven backends, infrastructure automation, or configuration-driven deployments.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with either AWS or MS Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-environment orchestration, automation tools, and software application integration.
  • Hands-on experience in developing or implementing API-driven workflows and event-driven automation.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Lean-Agile principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience in teams and projects at the tech lead or product owner level.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, and Terraform.
  • Programming skills in languages such as Java, JavaScript, .Net, Python, or Ruby.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including NTP, DNS, and LDAP.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and branching strategies.
  • Understanding of AWS cloud technologies and implementation.
  • Experience in designing event-driven microservice architectures.
  • Proven experience in overseeing technical projects and individuals.
  • Background in DevOps and/or DevSecOps environments.

Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Systems/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is required. Two years of relevant work experience may substitute for each year of degree-level education.

Desired Certifications:
  • Certification in Agile software development methodologies (e.g., SCRUM Master) is highly desirable.
  • AWS Associate Architect certification is preferred.
