Job Summary

Solutions³ LLC is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of a new DevOps infrastructure and advanced cybersecurity capabilities. As a key contributor to our Agile Scrum teams, you will be responsible for implementing advanced network communications and cybersecurity capabilities, including the selection of hardware and software and the design of infrastructure services required to enable the cybersecurity capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy network infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions.
  2. Implement and configure network devices, including firewalls, load balancers, routers, and switches, to ensure secure and reliable network operations.
  3. Develop and maintain firewall policies to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
  4. Perform break-fix actions and ongoing maintenance to ensure network uptime and performance.
  5. Upgrade and maintain network device software to ensure compliance with security patches and vulnerabilities.
  6. Sustain and maintain ISA networking architecture to ensure secure and reliable network operations.
  7. Manage data center hardware, including racking and de-racking hardware as needed.
  8. Monitor network performance and respond to issues and tickets using network monitoring and performance tools.
  9. Develop high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, test plans, and contract deliverable items, and support product line training.
Requirements
  1. U.S. Citizenship.
  2. Active/current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  3. DHS Suitability.
  4. Ability to work a first shift schedule.
  5. Ability to travel domestically.
  6. Ability to support on-site work (Position is hybrid, with a minimum of 20% on-site work requirement).
  7. 8+ years of professional networking experience.
  8. TCP/IP networking, VPN encryption, firewalls, and SNMP-based network management experience.
  9. In-depth knowledge and advanced troubleshooting experience in regard to Layer 2 functionality and protocol in a Cisco/Juniper environment.
  10. Experience with troubleshooting and implementing Layer 3 routing protocols over a multi-site environment in a Cisco/Juniper environment.
  11. Strong knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting IPSEC VPN and firewall architecture.
  12. Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols.
Desired Skills
  1. Experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
  2. Experience using network monitoring and automation tools for troubleshooting and task simplification.
  3. Technical understanding of cybersecurity attack techniques and associated mitigation techniques.
  4. Experience troubleshooting and implementing VPN technologies.
  5. Experience implementing firewall base policies using Juniper firewalls.
  6. Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure networking and connectivity to on-prem environments.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related discipline is required. A Master's degree in a related discipline may substitute for two (2) years of experience. A PhD may substitute for four (4) years of experience. Ten (10) years of experience (for a total of eighteen (18) or more years) may be substituted for a degree.

Desired Certifications
  1. Infrastructure-related certification preferred such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-Junos), Juniper Networks Certified Specialist Security (JNCIS-SEC).
  2. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification.
