Position Overview

Solutions³ LLC is engaged in a significant mission-critical initiative to design, construct, deliver, and manage a network operations environment, incorporating innovative cyber capabilities to counteract emerging threats.

We are in search of a Senior Principal Systems Architect to evaluate, design, and create automated cloud-centric requirements and architectures. This role involves developing derived requirements and systems engineering documentation for advanced cloud infrastructure, management, and operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Systems Engineering projects in support of a cutting-edge cybersecurity system.
  • Coordinate teams for the development, integration, and testing of advanced cybersecurity solutions, collaborating closely with the Design & Development Lead and Chief Engineer.
  • Engage directly with customers, stakeholders, and end-users to discuss priorities, capability architectures, requirements, use cases, and stories, facilitating the derivation and decomposition of next-cycle updates and specifications.
  • Advocate for user needs throughout the development process.
  • Collaborate within Agile Release Trains and Agile Teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments and formulate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide Systems Engineering expertise and leadership for a large-scale cybersecurity initiative.

Essential Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • An active Secret clearance is mandatory, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Eligibility for DHS Suitability is necessary.
  • Over 10 years of relevant systems engineering experience, including hardware and software requirements allocation, use case and story development, detailed system component design, and automation/orchestration experience with large systems.
  • At least 6 years of direct experience with Google Cloud deployment and management tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with substantial experience in successfully guiding large teams.
  • Ability to work effectively as a leader, in a collaborative group, or as an independent contributor.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment in a leadership capacity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Government Information Security policies, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Expertise in infrastructure automation, including deployment, configuration, and orchestration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as JSON, YAML, HCL, Python, bash/PSH, and/or CloudFormation/Terraform.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in leading teams and projects at the technical lead or product owner level.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Git, Ansible, Chef, AWS Lambda, Terraform, or other cloud-native tools.
  • Programming experience in languages such as Java, JavaScript, .Net, Python, or Ruby.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows systems, including updating and programmatic manipulation.
  • Experience with NTP, DNS, Networking, LDAP, or Software repositories.
  • Understanding of branching and release strategies, CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Knowledge and implementation experience with AWS cloud technologies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing event-driven microservice architectures.
  • Technical oversight experience of individuals and projects.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and/or DevSecOps environments.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Educational Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Two years of relevant work experience may substitute for each year of degree-level education.

Certifications:
  • Certification in Agile software development methodologies (e.g., SAFe Practitioner or higher).
  • Google Cloud Certification.
  • DoD IAT Level I or II (e.g., CISSP).
