Position Overview: Ramtec Consulting LLC is collaborating with a U.S. Government client on a critical mission to develop and maintain a robust network operations environment. This initiative includes the integration of advanced cyber capabilities to counteract emerging threats. We are in search of a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer specializing in Trellix ePO to assist in the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated cybersecurity solutions.

Key Responsibilities:


• Designing and implementing security frameworks for both manual and automated systems.


• Ensuring comprehensive logging of mission-critical and organizational data to prevent unauthorized access, accidental loss, or unauthorized alterations.


• Utilizing analytical and logical reasoning to inform the design, architecture, development, evaluation, testing, and integration of computer systems and networks.


• Architecting and deploying Cybersecurity tools within a hybrid operational environment.


• Managing technology roadmaps for each product, providing detailed reports and recommendations based on industry best practices.


• Supporting system accreditation processes by producing Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation.

Essential Qualifications:


Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.


• Capability to achieve DHS suitability.


• Experience working in a hybrid environment.


• Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.


• Proficient in both Windows and Linux operating systems within a production setting.


• Familiarity with Federated Identity, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and authentication mechanisms.


• Knowledge of secure cloud configurations and cloud security technologies, including Access Control (IAM).


• Practical experience with security solutions such as Trellix, CrowdStrike, and Tanium, including administration and engineering of host-based protection systems.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, with knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.


• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, bash, or Python.


• Familiarity with network protection technologies, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.


• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and innovative problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Knowledge of tools such as CyberArk, ForeScout CounterAct, CrowdStrike, and Splunk.


• Understanding of DoDAF and Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE).

Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Systems Engineering is required. Relevant work experience may substitute for educational qualifications.
