POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Planner is responsible for establishing an effective planning and control system that meets both internal and external customer expectations for quality and timely delivery within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role involves adhering to the Quality Management System (QMS) and all relevant regulatory and company standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Enhancing the overall production strategy to meet revenue and profitability goals while ensuring quality standards for on-time delivery.
  • Creating and updating production capacity plans by analyzing customer orders, forecasts, and engineering methodologies.
  • Overseeing the procurement of necessary materials and services in alignment with approved supplier lists.
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of raw materials, conducting inspections upon arrival, and managing documentation.
  • Coordinating the scheduling of external processes to guarantee prompt deliveries and validating supplier certifications.
  • Facilitating project progression by collaborating with team members to identify and resolve obstacles.
  • Preparing finished goods for shipment, including cleaning, packing, and managing compliance documentation.
  • Maintaining the integrity of the ERP system regarding material purchases, finished goods distribution, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service through timely communication and collaboration.
  • Supporting the quoting process by estimating labor, material, and service costs.
  • Implementing cost reduction strategies and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Assisting in the development of the annual budget by estimating resource needs and expenses.
  • Complying with company policies, safety protocols, and quality procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience in a regulated manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in English, with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience with computer applications, particularly spreadsheets and databases.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivation and the capability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Familiarity with CNC machining processes.
