Job Summary

Control Point Associates is seeking an experienced Land Survey Manager to join our team in Rochester, NY. As a key member of our survey crew, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of field surveying, including construction stakeout, topographical surveys, and as-built surveys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage survey crews in the field, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of projects.
  • Conduct field calculations and sketches, and download and check data to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain and care for company equipment and vehicles, and ensure setup is secure with proper safety precautions.
  • Supervise and motivate instrument operators, and positively represent the brand while communicating with customers on site.
  • Prepare ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Boundary & Topographic Surveys, As-Built Surveys, and Profiles.
  • Generate surfaces using 3D polylines & points, and coordinate project requirements with team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful, reliable surveying experience in a managerial role.
  • Civil 3D experience.
  • High School Diploma and strong math and computer skills.
  • The ability and desire to expand your skillsets and adapt to new technologies.
  • Highly proficient field coding to be used for field to finish auto linework.
  • Ability to complete additional certificates, (OSHA (10, 30, 40, etc.), Hazwoper, TWIC, etc.).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed and travel with overnight stays if required.

Physical Demands:

The Land Survey Manager will work in the field with the survey crew, and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for 8+ hours a day. Exposure to all weather conditions: hot, cold, wet, humid, or other conditions caused by weather.
