**Job Summary**

Control Point Associates is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to lead our survey crew in Rochester, NY. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of field surveying, including construction stakeout, topographical surveys, and as-built surveys.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Oversee and conduct field surveys, including construction stakeout, topographical surveys, and as-built surveys.
  • Supervise and motivate instrument operators to ensure accurate and efficient data collection.
  • Maintain and take care of all company equipment and vehicles, ensuring proper safety precautions are in place.
  • Self-organize and motivate when working alone, and supervise and motivate instrument operators when assigned.
  • Represent the company professionally and communicate effectively with customers on site.
  • Prepare and compile survey data, including ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Boundary & Topographic Surveys, and As-Built Surveys.
  • Generate surfaces using 3D polylines and points.
  • Coordinate project requirements with team members and provide assistance when necessary to complete required tasks.

**Requirements:**

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful surveying experience in a managerial role.
  • Civil 3D experience.
  • High School Diploma and strong math and computer skills.
  • The ability and desire to expand your skillsets and adapt to new technologies.
  • Highly proficient field coding for field-to-finish auto linework.
  • Ability to complete additional certificates, such as OSHA (10, 30, 40, etc.), Hazwoper, TWIC, etc.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed and travel with overnight stays if required.

**Physical Demands:**

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for 8+ hours a day.
  • Exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, humid, or other conditions caused by weather.
