POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in assisting Management to foster a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment, where our core values and guiding principles drive all store operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience and optimal profitability.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive for Results

  • Achieves company sales targets by employing effective sales techniques and sharing product knowledge with customers; assists in selecting merchandise or locating items based on customer preferences.
  • Stays informed about current promotions and sales; upholds pricing and visual standards.
  • Adheres to standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other tasks as directed by Management.
  • Engages in visual merchandising efforts, including monthly store setups and maintenance.
Customer Experience

  • Exemplifies and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Facilitates a quick and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about payment policies, coupon usage, returns, exchanges, security practices, and other operational protocols.
  • Reinforces purchasing decisions at the register and meets add-on sales goals, including gift card promotions.
  • Enrolls clients in loyalty programs.
  • Cultivates and maintains a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.
  • Understands current product fits and style offerings available in-store and online.
  • Maintains consistent communication with clients through a customer book.
Operational Excellence

  • Assists in replenishment efforts to keep the store well-stocked.
  • Aids in fulfilling locate requests.
  • Supports visual merchandising directives, including floor layouts, window displays, and signage placement as instructed.
  • Contributes to the cleanliness and organization of the boutique.
Teamwork and Growth

  • Encourages an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Actively seeks personal development opportunities and welcomes constructive feedback.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

This position may vary across different brands, with some duties differing from one brand to another.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or sales experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent customer service abilities are necessary.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to company-provided technology.
  • Strong organizational skills and capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of communicating effectively with customers, associates, and management.
  • Regular attendance is critical to meet company objectives; flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Continuous walking/standing for a significant portion of the shift.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of the shift).
  • Frequent climbing (34%-66% of the shift).

The wage range for this role is $16.00 to $20.00, with successful candidates' rates determined based on individual qualifications for the position.
