POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in assisting Management to foster a customer-centric and product-focused sales environment, ensuring that our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store operations. This includes delivering an exceptional customer experience while maximizing profitability.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive for Results

  • Achieves company sales targets by employing effective sales techniques and sharing product knowledge with customers; assists in merchandise selection or helps locate items based on customer preferences.
  • Stays informed about current promotions and sales; upholds pricing and visual merchandising standards.
  • Adheres to standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other tasks as assigned by Management.
  • Engages in visual merchandising efforts, including monthly store setups and maintenance.
Customer Experience

  • Exemplifies and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Facilitates a swift and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about payment policies, coupon acceptance, returns, exchanges, security protocols, and other operational procedures.
  • Reinforces purchasing decisions at the register and meets add-on sales goals, including gift card promotions.
  • Enrolls clients in the rewards program.
  • Cultivates and maintains a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.
  • Remains knowledgeable about current product fits and style offerings available in-store and online.
  • Maintains regular communication with clients through a customer book.
Operational Excellence

  • Supports replenishment efforts to ensure the store remains well-stocked and inviting.
  • Assists with fulfilling customer orders.
  • Aids in visual merchandising tasks, including floor layouts, window displays, and signage as directed.
  • Contributes to the cleanliness and organization of the boutique.
Teamwork and Growth

  • Encourages an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Actively seeks personal development opportunities and welcomes constructive feedback.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail or sales experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Capacity to learn and adapt to company-provided technology.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and management.
  • Regular attendance is crucial for this role to meet company objectives. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Constant walking/standing throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of an 8-hour shift).
  • Frequent climbing (34%-66% of an 8-hour shift).
