Global Commercial Banking Relationship Manager

Job Summary:
As a Senior Relationship Manager in our Global Commercial Banking team, you will be responsible for providing expert financial advice and solutions to complex clients and prospects. Your primary goal will be to acquire, deepen, and maintain profitable relationships, while collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of complex clients and prospects with annual revenues of $50 million to $2 billion, helping them save, borrow, and invest for their current and future needs.
- Acquire, deepen, and maintain profitable client relationships through sales, prospecting, and enhancing existing relationships.
- Understand and interpret financial and cash flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions of companies and industry trends.
- Collaborate with domestic and international teams throughout the bank, including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, and Wealth Management, to design and deliver financial solutions to clients and prospects.
- Lead and facilitate dialogue with complex clients and prospects regarding topics such as industry trends, alternative capital structures, and general business issues.
- Coach and mentor peers, utilizing leadership skills to drive team success.
- Adapt to changes in sales practices and broader market and industry conditions as needed.
Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience in Commercial Lending or Investment Banking.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage an extensive portfolio of middle market clients with revenues greater than $50 million.
- Proven track record of prospecting new business, enhancing existing relationships, and closing profitable transactions.
- Professional proven sales skills and experience, including planning, execution, and follow-up of client meetings.
- Strong corporate finance, capital markets, and accounting acumen.
- Financial modeling experience and completion of a formal credit training preferred.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Capable of organizing, facilitating, leading, and negotiating with a team of bank associates to solve client problems.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 & 63 (Must obtain SIE, series 7 & 63 license within 180 days of start date).
Desired Skills:
- Existing knowledge of the market preferred.
- Active member/participation in local community organizations.
- Highly desirable to have active networking contacts and Centers of Influence established in the market.
Education Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree required: Majors in business, finance, or economics preferred or equivalent experience.
