Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking an experienced Service Desk RDM Technician to join our team in Norfolk, VA. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical assistance to our clients, resolving complex software and hardware issues, and collaborating with team members to ensure seamless problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Problem Resolution: Analyze and resolve technical issues independently or in collaboration with team members, utilizing automated information systems and critical thinking skills to quickly understand complex systems.
  • Client Support: Provide exceptional support to clients, including fulfilling individual requests for information and training, and instructing users in the use of PCs and networks.
  • Task Prioritization and Management: Review incoming requests, sort, code, and prioritize tasks to manage time efficiently and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, provide training, and document solutions.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management: Accurately document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions implemented, and contribute to the development of knowledge management systems.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: High school education or equivalent and 1-3 years of general experience, or equivalent combination of experience and college-level education.
  • Certifications and Qualifications: 8570 certification - CompTIA Security +CE, ability to attain Flank Speed Tier 1.5 qualification within 30 days, and proficiency with Microsoft PowerShell.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, advanced knowledge of computer and networking technology, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related IT field, and 2 years of experience on NMCI Service Desk.
  • Attendance and Performance: Candidates with fewer than 4 attendance occurrences in a rolling 90-day period and strong metrics in PAR and AHT.
  • Proactive Learning and Career Development: Proactive learners who take ownership of their own growth and career development.

Compensation and Benefits:

Leidos offers a competitive salary range of $55k-$58k, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
