Position Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at TETER, you will be instrumental in directing HVAC and plumbing system design initiatives across a variety of building types.

Your role will encompass the full project lifecycle, from initial concept through to construction oversight, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and superior quality standards.

Utilizing your extensive knowledge in HVAC and plumbing systems, you will champion innovation and excellence in TETER's mechanical engineering endeavors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee HVAC and plumbing system design projects for diverse building sectors, including commercial, healthcare, and educational facilities.
  • Engage with architects, engineers, and clients to devise innovative and sustainable HVAC and plumbing solutions that fulfill project specifications and surpass client expectations.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to project teams, ensuring the effective execution of mechanical engineering tasks throughout all project phases.
  • Supervise the development of comprehensive construction documents, including HVAC and plumbing system designs, specifications, and drawings.
  • Assist during the construction phase by addressing requests for information (RFIs), conducting site inspections, and reviewing submissions to ensure alignment with design objectives.
  • Mentor and nurture junior engineers and drafters, promoting their professional development within the organization.
Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Over 10 years of experience as a Professional Mechanical Engineer, specializing in HVAC and plumbing system design for various buildings.

• Current registration as a Mechanical Engineer in California, or the ability to obtain registration within a specified timeframe.

• Expertise in all facets of HVAC and plumbing system design, including system layout, equipment selection, load calculations, and compliance with regulations.

• Strong leadership capabilities and proficiency in managing project teams and resources effectively.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 - $185,000 annually. Actual compensation will be influenced by qualifications, experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
