Job Title: Accounts Payable Accountant

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Accountant will perform moderately complex accounting work, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit administrative invoices against Purchase Order (PO) terms and conditions
  • Obtain invoice payment approval within 21 days
  • Process vouchers in TCAPPS no later than 7 days prior to the payment due date
  • Cleanup outstanding POs on a yearly basis
  • Provide timely customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university
  • At least two (2) years of experience in accounting
  • Experience with accounts payable procedures and processes, CAPPS, USAS, and TINS
  • Knowledge of fiscal programs, governmental accounting, budget control methods, policies, and procedures
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft products
  • Ability to engage in a collaborative, results-oriented team environment
