Job Overview

LDI Connect is a leading technology services company seeking a skilled Network Copier Field Service Trainee to join our team. As a key member of our Field Networking Team, you will be responsible for delivering, installing, and training clients on network copiers, printers, and scanners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review daily delivery schedules and confirm scheduling calls with clients.
  • Perform network installations at client sites, ensuring compliance with set guidelines and procedures.
  • Complete connectivity of equipment by installing printer software on workstations/servers and configuring scanning software according to the Statement of Work.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during network installation and training, utilizing all available resources to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Properly install meter gathering software for all copiers, printers, and wide format devices.
  • Test all functions and applications prior to leaving the client site to ensure newly installed equipment operates as expected.
  • Provide customized training to end users.
  • Maintain scheduled appointments to ensure efficiency and profitability, and notify the Installation Coordinator and client of any scheduling changes or conflicts.
  • Complete proper paperwork with the client, including all DocuSign documents for leasing, data collection, and contracts.
  • Follow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility for own actions, commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals, and complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan.
  • Communicate post-installation information and status to Sales Representatives.
  • Create and maintain effective training and installation tools.
  • Research and stay up-to-date with new and existing products supported by the Copier Installation team.
  • Assist Sales Representatives with pre-sales questions and assist on demonstrations for potential clients as requested.
  • Rebuild, reinstall OS, update firmware, and update various print controllers.
  • Perform backup helpdesk duties when requested.
  • Accurately maintain documentation and comply with service administrative procedures in a timely manner, including collecting client signatures and time entry process.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner, including loading/unloading delivery vehicles, lifting equipment, etc., to protect yourself and your coworkers, and use good judgment and constant attention to the work being done.
  • Assist with operations as needed, including warehouse and setup duties.
  • Work with integrity and ethics, upholding organizational values.
  • Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience working with copiers preferred.
  • Previous training experience preferred.
  • Experience with networking and printing with Macintosh computers preferred.
  • Basic understanding of network protocols.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to think and work independently.
  • Hardware and software trouble shooting ability.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

The typical hourly range for this role is between $19.23/hr and $28.85/hr. The offered hourly rate will depend on experience and/or education.
