Job Summary

As a Medical Leadership Trainee at American Family Care, you will have the opportunity to learn and practice the management skills necessary for the daily operation of a primary care/urgent care clinic. This role is ideal for individuals who are looking to develop their leadership skills and make a difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Become proficient in the essential duties and responsibilities for the Medical Receptionist, Lab Technician, X-Ray Technician, and Medical Assistant positions.
  • Become well-versed in all training resources.
  • Complete Customer Service and Leadership training.
  • Complete Standard Operating Procedure training.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Shadow a Center Administrator to become proficient in the essential duties and responsibilities of a Center Administrator.
  • Ensure quality of patient care.
  • Regular attendance to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated skills in communication, organization, and problem-solving are required.
  • Ability to deliver high levels of customer service and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • BS degree or minimum of 2 years of medical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Supervisory experience desired.

Work Environment
The Medical Leadership Trainee will work in a clinic setting, requiring extended periods of standing and walking (more than 6 hours a day). Ability to lift and carry loads up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Occasional stooping and kneeling. Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Ability to use keyboard and mouse and view computer monitor.
