The Opportunity

  • Provide technical repair and installation services for Roche assigned product lines.
  • Travel to laboratory customers in your assigned territory to offer valuable service and support.
  • Perform routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.
  • Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
  • Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking.
  • Successful completion of training or certification as defined by Roche Leadership and policy.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight travel.

Preferred Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry.
  • Ability to serve as an internal technical resource, provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships.

This is a field-based role that requires daily travel and up to 25% overnight travel. Our ideal candidate would reside within 30 minutes of Hartford, CT.
