POSITION PURPOSE

The Behavior Analyst is responsible for overseeing clinical case management, including assessments and supervision of all clinical programming for assigned clients utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and specialized instructional techniques for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role involves designing and managing data collection, graphing, and analysis; supporting direct implementation of programming as necessary; and providing guidance and training to Lead Facilitators and Program Facilitators (RBTs). Additionally, this position partially entails offering formal supervision and direct training for BACB supervisees and RBTs pursuing certification in Behavior Analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are typical for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned:

  • Supervise clinical staff, ensuring professional development, performance management, and adherence to clinical expectations, policies, and procedures through direct feedback.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, developing relevant treatment plans, goals, and programming based on assessment results.
  • Design and oversee data-driven interventions for assigned clients, adhering to industry best practices and tracking progress towards client goals.
  • Actively participate in meetings, training, and professional development opportunities tailored to both clients and RBTs.

Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of ASD and ABA instructional methodologies.

  • Manage case assignments for clients.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position does not have direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in special education, applied behavior analysis, psychology, or a related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • State licensure for Kansas and Missouri.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ASD and ABA instructional methodologies.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders or related developmental disabilities.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in educational or clinical settings with children.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities related to behavior assessment and intervention.
  • Ability to identify patterns and underlying issues in complex situations.
  • Experience in formal supervision of professionals and/or BCBA/BCaBAs is preferred.
  • Active in-network status with various private insurance panels in Kansas and Missouri is preferred.
  • Ability to respond to crises and conflicts with professionalism and confidence.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Excellent interpersonal, oral, record-keeping, and written communication skills are essential. The employee must be able to express and exchange ideas effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Advanced skills in basic arithmetic and the ability to perform calculations related to performance measures are required.

COGNITIVE DEMANDS

Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in various formats. Must be capable of addressing problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficiency in industry-specific software, systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear. Must also be able to engage in physical activities as necessary, including crisis intervention training.
