Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is in search of a Lead Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 3) or Senior Lead Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 4) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals within the Requirements organization.

This role is based on-site.

In this capacity, you will support by executing material management activities within our ERP system, including requirement analysis, timely purchase requisition releases, and stock transfer execution.

As a materials requirements planning analyst, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure demand fulfillment and schedule adherence.

A successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of requirements and replenishment processes. You should demonstrate analytical thinking and the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. Additionally, you will provide support to internal stakeholders and resolve intricate challenges. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively conveying relevant information throughout the functional Global Supply Chain organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Define and develop material strategies to align with manufacturing timelines and quality standards.

• Evaluate supply resources; aggregate and prioritize demand requirements; assess production, material, and rough-cut capacity for all products.

• Engage in the make/buy process, long-term capacity planning, and resource allocation to ensure appropriate scheduling of new product line introductions and existing product line phase-outs, manufacturing ramp-ups, end-of-life management, and product-line oversight.

• Utilize MRP tools to analyze supply/demand requirements, monitor inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements, and maintain accurate material lead times.

• Collaborate with Program Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to devise solutions to various challenges in order to meet manufacturing and testing schedules as per the Integrated Master Schedule.

• Review requirements for non-standard parts, assess and address the schedule impact of design changes, and communicate material status concerning production and financial forecasts.

• Analyze lead times and identify critical path procurements. Create and adjust requirements and requisitions.

• Interface with the Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital, and other necessary areas.

Basic Qualifications for Lead Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 3):

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of experience, Master’s Degree with 4 years of experience, or High School Diploma with 10 years of experience in fields such as Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, Project Management, or other Global Supply Chain-related areas.

• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems and experience with data analysis, including large datasets.

Basic Qualifications for Senior Lead Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 4):


• Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of combined experience, Master’s Degree with 8 years of experience, or High School Diploma with 14 years of experience in fields such as Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, Project Management, or other Global Supply Chain-related areas.

• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems and experience with data analysis, including large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Effective communicator with the ability to present information in an organized and impactful manner to program and executive leadership.

• Experience with the SAP MRP system and Excel spreadsheets.

• Current NGC Special Program Access.

• Active DOD Secret Clearance investigated within the last 5 years.

Compensation Range:
• $88,700 - $133,100

Compensation Range 2:
• $109,900 - $164,900


The aforementioned salary ranges serve as general guidelines; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director roles may qualify for Long Term Incentives.
