As part of our Survivability Engineering team, you will contribute to the development, testing, and implementation of innovative materials, technologies, and concepts that empower advanced systems to operate effectively in hostile environments. Collaborating closely with various engineering disciplines, you will be involved in the entire Systems Engineering lifecycle—from research and development to modeling and analysis, and from component testing to dynamic flight evaluations. Our engineers work across multiple spectrums, including RF (Radio Frequency), IR (Infrared), Visual, and Acoustic, in diverse settings ranging from specialized labs to field operations.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Utilize cutting-edge classified technology to minimize aircraft detectability across various spectrums.
  • Employ proprietary analysis tools to predict design performance.
  • Engage in hands-on verification of predictions and designs through physical model testing.
  • Optimize designs for stealth capabilities while adhering to requirements from all engineering disciplines.
  • Assume responsibility for achieving customer objectives within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) framework.
  • Excel in a dynamic work environment characterized by high expectations and extensive collaboration.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Strong grasp of infrared radiation physics as it pertains to aircraft survivability.
  • Experience in infrared signature analysis utilizing test data and/or simulation tools.
  • Background in laboratory and/or in-flight testing of infrared technologies and materials.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, etc.
  • Proficiency in CAD software like NX.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills for effective collaboration.
  • A current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Secret security clearance is required to start, along with access to Special Access Programs (SAPs).
  • Educational/Experience Requirements:
    • Principal Infrared Survivability Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of relevant professional/military engineering experience, OR a Master’s degree AND 3 years of relevant experience.
    • Sr Principal Infrared Survivability Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s degree AND 7 years of relevant experience, OR a Ph.D. AND 4 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of infrared radiation physics and related technologies.
  • Extensive expertise in thin film material design and qualification processes.
  • Proficient in planning and executing laboratory and in-flight testing of infrared technologies.
  • General understanding of aircraft radar signatures and reduction techniques.
  • Experience in proposal writing and project cost estimation.
  • Background in project and/or supply-chain management.
  • A current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAPs).
